Did you know that, according to IndieWire, the real director of the original “Poltergeist” (1982) isn’t technically Tobe Hooper, as credited? The actual director of the film is this mega-famous director who was bound by contract to another film and couldn’t attach his name to “Poltergeist,” as a result.
