SOCIAL MEDIA INTERN

Description

Why Watch That, a film and TV media outlet, is looking for an intern with strong knowledge and understanding of the digital media landscape, including various social media platforms. The intern for this position will need strong critical thinking skills in order to integrate into our vibrant and passionate team. We are very excited to share our knowledge with someone who wishes to gain a ton of great experience in the entertainment and media space, both online and offline.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to projects in various ways
  • Monitor and post on social networks
  • Attend industry event for live coverage and to collect content
  • Listen to episodes and assist in creating content for campaigns
  • Use Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, and YouTube for online outreach and promotion
  • Social media optimization
  • Hashtag analysis

Requirements

We are seeking Marketing and Business majors, English majors, or applicants who want to gain experience in social media. This intern must be willing to telecommute, be a self-starter, pay attention to details, meet deadlines, and enjoy being both creative and strategic. In addition, this intern must be able to work independently and manage multiple tasks and projects. While experience is not needed, a willingness to learn and an interest in social media marketing are desired. This position requires a three-month commitment and about 6-10 hours of work per week.

PUBLIC RELATIONS INTERN

Description

Why Watch That, a film and TV media outlet, is looking for an intern who is interested in learning all aspects of the public relations field. The intern who fills this position will learn the tricks of the trade and leave the internship with the skills and experience that they can leverage in their future careers. It is essential that applicants to this position have excellent communication skills, demonstrate creativity, and understand the importance of attending to even the smallest of details.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor all forms of entertainment media
  • Schedule and coordinate speaking engagements, appearances, and other special events
  • Write press releases and other materials
  • Create interview preparation materials
  • Compile contact lists
  • Search for press clippings
  • Create or update databases
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with partners

Description

Why Watch That, a film and TV media outlet, is looking for a marketing and community-engagement intern. The intern who fills this position should be passionate, smart, fun, and eager to broaden the Why Watch That audience. This applicant should have excellent communication skills, demonstrate creativity, and understand the importance of build relationships and adding value.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in research, development, and curation of content ideas
  • Identify opportunities for content promotion and content partnerships with various publishers, brands, and online blogs
  • Prepare analytical reports to demonstrate the effectiveness of various marketing campaigns
  • Aid in developing a database of industry resources, sites, and organizations, including talent, blogs, and more
  • Manage email campaigns, and maintain and grow email lists
  • Work closely with our producer and social media intern
