REVIEW

“Mob City,” a TNT miniseries, has a solid cast, especially the always-interesting Robert Knepper. However, this is merely a shell of “film noir.” It’s just not potent enough to keep you engaged. There’s plenty of noir out there, and this doesn’t add anything compelling to the genre. It’s not bad, but that doesn’t make it worth your time.

Verdict: OK

About: (Source: mobcity)

Acclaimed filmmaker Frank Darabont (Walking Dead, Shawshank Redemption) brings 1940s Los Angeles to life in TNT’s eagerly anticipated television event, MOB CITY. Based on the real-life accounts of the cops and gangsters of the time, this is the seductive story of the violent crime underbelly of America’s most glamorous city and those who wanted to control it. Starring Jon Bernthal, Ed Burns, Neal McDonough and Jeremy Luke.
