REVIEW

“Between,” a Netflix series co-produced by Canada’s City network that will release its episodes week-to-week instead of all at once, is a mix of “The 100,” “Under the Dome,” and whichever outbreak story you like. It looks much better than it is, and its look isn’t anything to write home about. The pilot features bad writing and worse acting: The cast knows as much about timing as a broken clock. (Check out the cast photo, which is a great representative of the kind of quality you’re going to get from this show.) If you can endure all six episodes of the first season, kudos. Count me out.

Verdict: Pretty Bad

About: (Source: between)

A mysterious disease strikes a small town’s adult population in this tense sci-fi drama. Pretty Lake’s teenagers think they have their futures in sight with college, the military, even childbirth. But when the grownups in their lives suddenly start dying of an unknown plague and the government quarantines the town, the survivors quickly realize they’re trapped — and they’re going to have figure out how to make it to adulthood on their own.
