Series Premiere

Little Fires Everywhere (Hulu)
The intertwined fates of the picture-perfect Richardson family and an enigmatic mother and daughter who upend their lives.

TV Season Premiere

My Brilliant Friend: The Story of a New Name (HBO)
Pseudonymous author Elena Ferrante has written four mega-popular Neopolitan novels that explore the complicated intensity of female friendship. “My Brilliant Friend” is the first in the series, and also the first to be adapted for television. Filmed in Italian, the eight-episode drama centers on elderly author Elena Greco, who learns that the most important friend in her life, Lila Cerullo, has disappeared without a trace. It causes Elena to reflect on the early days of their friendship in dangerous but fascinating Naples, Italy, in the 1950s, when Elena and Lila are two very different girls at the top of their class. The story goes on to cover more than 60 years of their lives as Elena tries to describe the mystery of Lila.

Season Finale

Curb Your Enthusiasm (HBO)
`Seinfeld’ co-creator Larry David plays a version of himself on the improvised series. He faces a constant barrage of life’s little annoyances, which in David’s sometimes well-meaning but terminally fumbling hands don’t tend to stay small for very long.

Netflix TV Sneak Peeks

Ozark (Netflix)
Created by Bill Dubuque (“The Accountant,” “The Judge”), this drama series stars Jason Bateman as Marty Byrde, a financial planner who relocates his family from Chicago to a summer resort community in the Ozarks. With wife Wendy and their two kids in tow, Marty is on the move after a money-laundering scheme goes wrong, forcing him to pay off a substantial debt to a Mexican drug lord in order to keep his family safe. While the Byrdes’ fate hangs in the balance, the dire circumstances force the fractured family to reconnect.

Unorthodox (Netflix)
Story of a young ultra-Orthodox Jewish woman who flees her arranged marriage and religious community to start a new life abroad.
