Series Premieres:
Into the Dark (Hulu)
A horror anthology series featuring tales inspired by holidays.

All American (CW)
Spencer James is a rising high school football player and A student at South Crenshaw High, but when coach Billy Baker recruits him to join his team in Beverly Hills, Spencer’s mother, Grace, and his best friend, Coop, convince him it’s an opportunity he has to seize. Forced to move in with Billy and his family to protect his transfer permit to Beverly, Billy’s son Jordan, who is also the starting quarterback, is less than thrilled to be sharing his father’s attention — or the team spotlight. While Spencer struggles to find his footing, he makes an unlikely friend in Jordan’s sister, who is struggling with her own demons.

Season Finales:
Insecure (HBO)
Modern-day black women might be described as strong and confident; in other words, just the opposite of Issa and Molly. As the best friends deal with their own real-life flaws, their insecurities come to the fore as together they cope with an endless series of uncomfortable everyday experiences. Created by co-star Issa Rae and writer/comic Larry Wilmore (“The Daily Show With Jon Stewart”), the comedy series looks at the friendship of two black women in a unique, authentic way. It features the music of both indie and established artists of color, and touches on a variety of social and racial issues that relate to the contemporary black experience.

Ballers (HBO)
A superstar during his football playing days, Spencer Strasmore tries to find the same success as a financial manager for current players in sun-splashed Miami. Heeding his boss Joe’s instruction to “monetize his friendships,” Spencer builds a client base of young phenoms and veteran stars alike, but his role in their lives far exceeds money management as he struggles to help them navigate the many traps that come with life as big-time “ballers.” The series is created by Stephen Levinson (“Entourage,” “Boardwalk Empire”) and stars Dwayne Johnson as Spencer.

Get Shorty (Epix)
Working as muscle for a murderous Nevada crime ring, Miles Daly decides to change professions and become a Hollywood movie producer.

Mr. Inbetween (FX)
“Mr Inbetween” is a half-hour drama series inspired by the cult film “The Magician.” It centers around Ray Shoesmith — a father, ex-husband, boyfriend and best friend. All tough roles to juggle in the modern age, but it’s even harder when you’re a criminal for hire. Shoesmith is a man who has been hardened by the prison system and his experiences there. Now, he is learning how to deal with life in the real world — even attending anger management classes — away from the bars of prison, where actions always have consequences.
